7:45am-8:45am Before Care

8:45am-9:00am Arrival Time

Good Morning! Welcome to another day of learning and exploring with Montessori Academy. Upon arrival all parents are required to sign in at the beginning of the day. Give your little one a kiss and cuddle at the door, wave goodbye, and hand them over to their teachers for a wonderful day of fun.

9:00am-9:15am Morning Snack

The day begins with a heathy morning snack. Babies enjoy fruit pouches, vegetables, and other nutritious snacks before they transition into Montessori Work.

9:15am-10:00am Montessori Work

The early morning is time for our infants to explore and work with the Montessori materials in their room. Educators will often present the children with a material, allowing them to explore the activity. The most popular curriculum areas in the infant room include practical life, sensorial and language.

10:00am-11:00am Outdoor Time

After morning snack, it’s outdoor playtime! Every Montessori Academy childcare service has a prepared infant outdoor area, which is a safe place for your little one to discover and play outdoors. Our Educators specifically set up the infant outdoor learning environment to encourage the children to learn and develop new skills every day.

11:00am-11:15am Hand Wash and Getting Ready For Lunch

It’s time to take off the boots and jacket. The staff prepare the children for lunch as we take turns washing their hands.

11:15am-11:45am Lunch

Working hard is hungry work! The staff warm up meals, prepare water bottles, and place bibs for the children. The staff document for parents how well each child is eating. Staff also provide milk bottles and accommodate each child’s needs.

11:45am-1:45pm Nap/Rest Time

Standard sleep time is from after lunch; however, we are happy to work around any sleeping schedule. Each child has their own cot, and we encourage our families to bring their own bed sheets, and a comforter for their little one. Soft music plays while we put the infant’s down to rest, and any unsettled children are rocked to sleep.

1:45 pm – 2:00 pm Snack Time

It’s time for afternoon snacks. Staff change the children’s diapers, and provide afternoon snacks. Now it’s time to get ready to go outside and explore the outdoors.

2:00pm-3:00pm Outdoor Time

Outdoor play varies every day. We have a sandbox, playhouse, toy cars, and other various toys for the children. The staff enjoy blowing bubbles and enjoy watching the children follow them around the playground. The playground is secure with a fence and staff who closely monitor the children.

3:00pm-3:30pm Exploratory Play & Pick-Up

Good evening, and welcome back! Your little one is now ready to go home happy, safe and sound. Your child’s Educators will greet you at the door and help you collect your child’s belongings. If you have any questions about how your child slept, how much they ate, and when their diaper was changed, our friendly team are more than happy to assist.

*Throughout the day frequent diaper changes are scheduled for the children, and our Educators regularly check if your child requires an extra diaper change.
